Achieving Audio Goals
1 - Rich, Full Sound
* Equipment. amps, speakers.
* Tuned up.
* EQ'd, tested, documented
* scene: named & saved.
* ongoing: each change in equipment configuration is reported immediately, in detail, to audio tech.
2 - Dead Spots -- Fill In
* Equipment. speakers added so as to fill spots.
3 - Hiccups -- Prevent hiccups during service
Feedback

* Volume levels of monitors
Mic Inoperative
Cable breaks ... on mic
* Stronger, stouter cables on mics
- to prevent cable breaks
- current mics have an awful mic-wire junction:
: an abrupt transition of flexible to rigid in cable (i.e., a missing strain relief), which *guarantees* a break at that spot soon after putting new mic into usage.
* Mic Users trained on
[A] delicacy of cords
[B] exactly how to treat delicate cords so as to protect and prevent sooner breakage.
* Add strain relief to every mic cable where it is missing.
* Wear two mics always, or,
two packs and two mics. ... redundancy.
* Replace mics on a regular schedule.
(preventive maintenance, 'PM')
- don't wait for disruption live during service.
Batteries exhausted ... in mic pack
* always full fresh batteries to start
* user error ... instruct, remind ...
* tech error ... checklist usage.
Mic muted [undesired] ... on user pack.
* standardize the muting process.
* user: always check pack is unmuted;
- user know how to check screen of pack to check status.
* tech: at battery refresh: set out pack powered on, unmuted.
Mic muted [undesired] ... on X32.
* diligence, focus, discipline; human error. We are human.
* usage of checklist for service transitions.
* staff updates service transition audio checklist when service flow changes.
